Meet the Manager

Stephanie grew up in a boating family, fixing boats and traveling. Her parents used to buy a boat that needed a lot of TLC, her father would get the engines running and repaint the exterior, and her mother, a marine upholsterer by trade, would redo the interior and all the canvas. When the boat was finally refurbished, they would sell it so they could buy yet another boat – just a little nicer and a little larger – and start all over again. As a result, Stephanie spent plenty of time doing everything from pulling staples out of old cushions to replacing electrical cables in need of repair. Spending all day on the water was her “normal,” and Stephanie says, “I could not imagine my life any differently.”

While Stephanie was attending college, she started working at Plymouth Marine, in Plymouth, MA, as a summer job (now within the Safe Harbor Marinas Family). She quickly realized that it was the exact thing she wanted to spend the rest of her life doing, and she was determined to be the best she could be. Shortly after starting, Stephanie was promoted to the Dockmaster position at Plymouth. During her second summer at the marina, she took on an additional role by becoming a Yacht Broker for Brewer Yacht Sales.  Stephanie’s hard work and passion for helping boaters did not go unnoticed by the company executives, and after only two years with the company she was given the opportunity to manage Essex Island Marina in Essex, CT, (a Safe Harbor Marina) where she spent the next four years.

In September 2018, Stephanie was offered another promotion. She made the move to Florida to become the General Manager at Old Port Cove Marina, a position she proudly holds today.

When asked about her career in the marina industry, Stephanie says, “I have been incredibly fortunate with this company, and they have given me opportunities over the years that I could never have imagined. When I get to come to work every day and not only do something that I love, but also see other people doing what they love, it is especially rewarding, and I could not ask for a better job than that.”

Stephanie invites you to stop by the Old Port Cove Marina Office to say hello!
